First of all, from the point of view of price, PVC jacket is cheaper than Poole jacket. Because PVC (polyvinyl chloride) material although has good physical properties, but poor photothermal stability, in some special use environment, such as long exposure time or high overheating temperature, easy to decompose, therefore, affect the service life of high flexible traction chain cable. Polyurethane is a rubber between PVC and rubber elastomer, so the stability of the material is relatively good.
Secondly, the application scenarios are different. Although both materials can be used as sheaths for streamers, PVC is well adapted to humid environments due to its response to light and heat, but should not be used indoors for extended periods of time. PUR not only has the excellent characteristics of PVC, but also has strong tensile strength and wear resistance. Oil resistance, moisture resistance and corrosion resistance greatly increase its application range.
